April marks a significant milestone for Firefly Park, as it’s officially been one year since we broke ground on this transformative project. Over the past year, we’ve made remarkable progress, laying the foundation for what will become a premier destination in Frisco.
Here’s a look at some of the major milestones we’ve achieved:
🔸April 2024 – Wilks Development and the Frisco Economic Development Corporation (Frisco EDC) signed a development agreement, officially launching Phase One of construction.
🔸August 2024 – Wilks Development selected Texas-based brokerage firms Transwestern Real Estate Services (office) and Kobalt Investment Co. (retail) to oversee leasing efforts.
🔸October 2024 – The Frisco Planning & Zoning Commission approved two site plans for the future multifamily units.
🔸November – December 2024 – Major strides were made in horizontal development, setting the stage for future vertical construction.
🔸February 2025 – The Frisco Planning & Zoning Commission approved two additional site plans for a parking garage and 10 retail and restaurant buildings.
🔸March 2025 – Pleasant Ridge bridge peer drilling began, with lime stabilization and paving scheduled to kick off in April. Additionally, the Frisco Planning & Zoning Commission approved the site plan for the Dream Hotel and Firefly Offices building.
🔸April - As infrastructure work nears completion, The Noc and Cana at Firefly Park are positioned to be among the first vertical projects to break ground.
